Hemos recibido este mensaje de Shrestha que queremos compartir con vosotros. Para los que no domináis demasiado el inglés, viene a decir que quieren construir un nuevo colegio y que para ello necesitan toda la ayuda que puedan recibir. Han ideado un sistema de ladrillos, de manera que dan la opción de colaborar con la compra de ladrillos. Cada uno vale unos 30euros y podéis colaborar comprando los que queráis. Ellos como agradecimiento os enviarán un ladrillito con una S.

Greeting from Shrestha 

Hello from Shrestha! I’ve got some exciting news that I wanted to share with you.As you know, we want to do as much as we can to give the children living in slum conditions the best possible start in life, and we’ve got a new ambition – to build our own school for them.

Our school is currently a basement room near the slum, as many of you will know. If we had our own building, we would no longer have to pay rent each month, and we’d have much better facilities for the children.  That means we’d have more money to invest each month in educational supplies and other things.

But, it’s an ambitious goal. It means we’ll need to raise around 30000 Euros (39445 dollars / 26625 UK pounds). And you can help – by buying a brick!

For 2100 rupees, you can buy a Shrestha brick. In return for your donation, you’ll receive a unique miniature silver plated brick, engraved with ‘S’ means “SHRESTHA”, which you can also wear as a pendant.

If you’d like to help with a smaller donation, we’d also be very grateful, and you’ll receive a certificate from us by email.

Everyone who buys a brick or contributes towards our building project will receive regular updates about how we’re doing towards reaching our target. 

One day, I hope to send you the good news that we’ve raised all the money we need and can get a new Shrestha school off the ground – literally!
